We are a military family and one of our sons has a very difficult time when Dad goes away. It was one of these times that he was really struggling and I sat down to the piano to relieve some stress. As I fiddled and played, while thinking of him, this song emerged. I wanted him to know that he has more than just myself and his Dad to rely on, he has Jesus! And not even Dad or I know what he's feeling. But there is someone who does, and that's Jesus. I wanted him to remember and know that Jesus loves him and knows him and has walked in his shoes.
